My Writing Days In Taipei

I absolutely love writing. And the only thing I write are the RJ & Sandringham thriller stories. Lock me in a room and force me to write RJ & Sandringham thrillers and I’d be quite happy. For me, writing is a beautiful experience and one of the loves of my life. I get to dream and enter into another world. To watch Master RJ Hudson and Major John Sandringham as they go about their business. That in itself would be enough for me.

The cherry on the cake is that I also get to travel to amazing places for research and, sometimes, actually most times, to write the story. One of the most recent times has been with MAINLAND the seventh RJ & Sandringham thriller. Where I got to travel to the Far East for the writing of the thriller. One of the places I visited was Taipei. I’d been there before and it’s absolutely amazing for a whole number of reasons. Too many to write down here, but take my word for it, Taiwan is wonderful.

I based myself at the Hyatt hotel in down town Taipei and it was from here I wrote most of the Mainland story. My day would begin early for some writing, before taking to the pool for an energetic swim. After breakfast I would return to some more writing before heading out for research and inspiration. I would return to the hotel after lunch for an afternoon of writing before finishing at tea time and then returning into the heart of the city to find one of the many amazing restaurants and t to rest my mind, ready for the next day’s writing.
